Motorhome at the estate

Free welcome, dedicated pitch, tasting at the cellar. The ideal winemaker stopover between Cahors and Rocamadour.

Cellar and welcome area

For more than fourteen years, Clos de Pougette has welcomed motorhome travellers at the estate, free of charge, with a dedicated pitch and access to the tasting cellar. This welcome is one of the most direct ways we've found to keep our craft alive — and to meet people who travel France with curiosity.

How does a stay work?

It's simple. You arrive whenever (ideally before 6 p.m. so we can say hello), you come to the cellar or the house, we point you to the dedicated pitch at the foot of the vines, and you settle in. The night is free. You leave the next morning, or later if you feel like it.

During your stay you can:

  • Taste our wines at the cellar (free, depending on which bottles are open).
  • Buy directly at the estate — bottles, BIB, ratafia, grape juice.
  • Walk through the vineyard on the open paths.
  • Chat with Pierre when he has a moment (which happens often).

Facilities

  • Dedicated pitch, grass or stabilised depending on the season
  • Access to restrooms (just ask on arrival)
  • Drinking water available
  • No 3-service bay (waste / fresh water) — please come with full tanks
  • Pets welcome (ours too are sociable)
  • Quiet guaranteed: no traffic, no noisy neighbours

Listed in

Clos de Pougette is listed in:

When to come?

The welcome is open year-round. The gentlest, prettiest periods are May–June (flowering vines) and September–October (harvest, warm light). In July and August, it's often very hot — try to arrive early for shade.

During harvest (mid-September to mid-October depending on the year), the welcome continues but the estate is in full swing — it's the most exciting time to observe the work, as long as you don't expect a long chat with Pierre, who'll be in the vines or at the cellar from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Where are we?

In Cournou, in the commune of Saint-Vincent-Rive-d'Olt, in the Lot department. GPS: 44.44754248103163, 1.3344556865082526. Perfectly placed between Cahors (20 min), Rocamadour (1 h) and the Gouffre de Padirac (1 h 15) — a good base to explore the Quercy.
